At the recent virtual meeting of the Board of Directors, Maura Donahue was presented with the Chamber’s Dennis Sheehan Award. The award, named in honor of former Chamber chairman Dennis Sheehan, is presented to the person or organization who exemplifies outstanding leadership and commitment to the American business community through their service to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. There have been only 15 recipients since the award was established in 1999.
Maura has completed her second term as Chair of the Board of Directors, serving previously in 2005-2006. She is third person in the history of the U.S. Chamber to serve more than one term. She was the first woman and the first Louisianan to serve as Chair.
