DonahueFavret Contractors is totally committed to safety and loss control and to providing a safe work environment for our employees and subcontractors. It is paramount that each person at or near a construction project–including our subcontractors, architects, owners and the general public–remains in the safest conditions possible.
We have created a comprehensive Health, Safety, Security and Environment Manual which provides policies and procedures designed to achieve a zero incident workplace. In fact, DonahueFavret has worked over 1,200,000 man-hours since 2006 without a lost time injury.
Key components of our safety culture include:
- A commitment from management to accident prevention and safe working environments
- A defined structure including a Safety Director, Safety Committee, Safety/Insurance Administrator and outside safety consultants
- An extensive safety program that is continually reviewed and updated, coupled with site-specific HSSE plans
- Safety incentives and recognition
- Ongoing training and education
As a result of the programs in place, DonahueFavret has received the STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) Award from Associated Builders and Contractors for 19 consecutive years and is an Accredited Quality Contractor.
