Commercial Construction Project Coordinator (Project Engineer)
Full-Time, Exempt
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Coordinator (Project Engineer) to support the management and execution of commercial construction projects. This position works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the project from start to finish. *This role does not require or utilize an Engineering Degree or Certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Manager and Superintendent in managing construction projects
- Review and submit plans, and maintain submittal logs
- Coordinate Request for Information (RFIs) and proposal requests
- Create and update punch lists
- Prepare documentation for progress and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings
- Ensure safety compliance on the job site
- Maintain daily logs of job activities, weather, manpower, and project issues
- Assist with training and safety protocols on-site
- Support documentation of project expenses and DFC hours worked
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Proven skills in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields gained through alternative routes such as on-the-job training, apprenticeships, military service, or equivalent experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and owner representatives.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely project updates.
- Proactive approach to safety and training on-site.
- Ability to assist with project tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- Previous experience in commercial construction or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols is a plus.
