Superintendent

DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent.

This position reports to a Project Manager, and directly supervises and coordinates the work performed by suppliers, subcontractors and DFC construction crews, and is responsible for job site safety, quality of construction, cost-effective job completion, and maintenance and security of tools and equipment.

Some projects may require out-of-town travel and/or temporary relocation, for the duration of the project.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Reading and intermediate math skills
• The ability to communicate in English effectively and professionally with customers and external contacts to the organization. (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.)
• Supervisory experience and/or the ability to lead a team.
• Advanced knowledge of construction techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes.
• Advanced blueprint reading capability.
• Ability to interpret and apply OSHA regulations.
• Ability to use office equipment (phones, copiers, laptop, iPad)

Computer Skills:

• Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proficiency in SureTrak, or similar, software
