Two of DonahueFavret’s faith-based projects have been awarded a WFX Solomon Award for 2018.

St. Stephen Church was the winner in the Building Contractor [801-2,000 seats] category. This project encompassed the restoration of a historic church originally constructed in 1887 in New Orleans, Louisiana. DonahueFavret restored the church to its original magnificence by way of the original construction techniques and materials while upgrading all behind the scenes MEP systems to the latest technology.

First Baptist Church Covington was the winner in the Building Contractor [2,001+ seats] category. This project was an expansion to the existing and active First Baptist Church located in Covington, Louisiana.  The project comprised three buildings and tied in to the existing worship building on campus.  The education building, administration, commons and worship center added a total of 180,133 square feet to the church.

FBCC also received awards in the following categories: Church Building Design – Traditional and Contemporary [2,001+ seats]; Church Design – Outdoor Spaces [2,001+ seats]; and Church Sanctuary Design (Non-AVL technology focused) Traditional and Contemporary [2,001+ seats]. Congratulations to HH Architects on their winning design.
