DonahueFavret Contractors was selected to construct this medical office building in New Orleans, LA, over four general contractors based on General Conditions and Fee with a cost assumption. Upon selection, a major redesign of the project happened involving complete redesign of the structural system. DonahueFavret worked through three months of preconstruction to bring the project in under budget. We were able to value engineer roughly 15% of the cost in order to make the project a reality, all while keeping the designer’s intent and Owner’s programmatic needs intact.

The 65,000 square foot medical office building has a pile-supported deep foundation utilizing grade beams and pile caps. The structure is steel columns and composite beams with metal deck filled with concrete. The skin is a mix of cementitious fiber and curtain-wall glazing system. The project houses medical clinics, dental clinics, behavioral health, a full-scale pharmacy and an on-site credit union.
