Iconic New Orleans hotel renovated across multiple phases, complete MEP upgrades.
DonahueFavret Contractors was selected to perform the renovation work of the public spaces at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown New Orleans. The team was selected through a competitive bid situation and began construction immediately. Our construction team worked diligently with the architecture and MEP design team to help complete the plans as demolition work began.
Phase one of the project relocated the check in area from the second floor to the first floor to capture additional meeting spaces, additional back of house offices and sundry shop. We also renovated the historic Pete’s Pub and the associated kitchen. The first phase also included a complete MEP upgrade which entailed changing out the outside air units, fan coil units and air handler units throughout. The original escalators were also demolished and the hole between first and second floor was infilled.
