Chateau St. Denis

Chateau Saint Denis is a boutique hotel in historic downtown Natchitoches, Louisiana. Longtime client and notable hotelier Warren Reuther selected DonahueFavret Contractors as the builder to perform Design Assist and Construction services for the 87 room ground up hotel.

The project featured significant structural and sitework challenges such as a 12-foot tall concrete retaining wall to accommodate the severe elevation changes at the site. The wood framed building was complete with a brick and plaster veneer as well as asphalt shingle roof. A private courtyard overlooks the historic downtown area. The hotel also housed 4,000 SF of meeting space for the nearby Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum. Despite nearly 90 straight days affected by weather, the fast- tracked project was completed within the original contract time.
